well thanx every1 for all the help, i'm gonna use 4.10's and a bottle cuz i only run the 1/8. i rode in a couple cars with similar setups and both on the bottle, and the car with 4.10's had the edge off the line and through 4 so i think thats the route i'm going, and it wasnt to bad on the interstate. i hold to have it installed in a couple of weeks, then i get to have fun tuning and breaking it in. i'm hopeing for around 300 hp and around 350 tq to the ground with it managed by a tweecer.

make sure you have the suspension to hook and know how to launch, but I well agree with the 4.10 and bottle if its an 1/8 mile car

well the suspension was already done when i bought the car, it had steeda aluminum uppers and lowers, i had the Holcomb adjustable uppers put along with Steeda lowers with the adjustablt spring cups, i'm currently using GT rear coils with a air bag in the right rear, and 4 cyl springs up front. in the rear i'm using 50/50 lakewoods, and up front currently just using new stock replace ments. i'm glad i did the rear disc conversion cuz with skinnies up front the car doesnt really wanna stop on 195 60 15

Whats your guys opinion on the F cam, i have the valve clearance to run up to .580 lift, and i have .600 lift springs on the heads. would it be worth it run a X-cam with 1.6s instead of the F-cam with 1.6s and 1.7s cuz i'm gonna have sometime before i can put in the cam, I bought a Milodon 7 qt pan, i think it'll be smart to put in a Hi-Volume pump. and where can i get a hardened oil pump drive?

well i plan on using a tweecer, but i also have to keep it street friendly cuz its going to my daily driver. I just dont know how street friendly the X-cam is. I know how well the F-cam works, i juist dont think i want the choppinees of it, the girl i'm seeing already complains now about how rough it idles, and its just a cam similar to a cobra but its been degreed for maximum performance.

Women come and go, build your car the way you want it.

Really, you have to decide what you are going to spin the motor to. The F-cam is rated from 2800 - 6000rpm and X-cam is rated to 3500 - 6500. The lift is a little nicer, but are you really going to spin the motor that high to take advantage of the X? What do you want?

Very true, but i dont plan on running it higher than 6000, since its a daily driver would it be better if i just kept the F-cam even tho it has more duration? or what other cam could i use to give me power from say 3500 to 6000? I just want suggestions
