Default Which gears?

so im curious as to which gear set i should go with....

sometimes i will be running a 26.5x10x15 set of ET Streets, and the rest of the time i will be running a set of 275/45r-17 Nitto555 on stock bullit rims.

so which is it, 3:73 or 4:10?

BTW: this application will be seeing boost very soon.

3.55 with boost, it will redline fast as shit if you want to take it out on streets. Yeah you can go with 3.73 but I went from an aod with 4.10 to A T5 with 3.27 on my car for my application.

3:55 Ratio Let your motor work a little ......And think of tire spin at 4:10's.

It DOES matter what tranny..there is a big difference in what gear I would choose behind a T-5,TKO,C4 or AOD.

Brandon, if you're going to do boost - the steepest you'll want to go will be 3.73's IMO. The Terminators come w/3.55's and there wasn't any gearing issues there for me w/that setup. However, Z06 Killa swapped to a solid and went to 3.73's and I'm sure you know how well that worked for him, and his setup.

As someone else said, 4.10's are going to be to steep a gear for a boosted application. You'll get violent tire spin. 4.10's is more along the lines of a race-car application, or an N/A application (again, IMO).

Your car is going to have a good suspension to back up all that power/gear. So I'd say do a set of 3.73's man. You'd be happy w/it I'm pretty sure.

Josh
