This is a mod motor guys not a push rod. For a street/strip car with boost and slicks I'd say 4.10's. I'm going down to 4.30's and boost when I put a blower on my car. Need more info on the motor too. If it's built and the valve train too then you can spin it higher. I assume this boost is from a centrify blower then I'd say 6500rpms which leave plenty of room for a bigger gear. If he's using the 3650 tranny his ratios are 3.36/1.99/1.34.1.0/.68. Don't know the ratios for the Aod. -Mark

stock 3650 tranny with a centerforce clutch and steeda firewall djuster, cable and quadrant.

suspension will be steeda aluminum LCA's, steeda double adjustable uppers with solid rod ends and sperical differental bushings, steeda full length sub frames, steeda drag springs w/ air bag @18-22 psi. steeda front tubular front sway bar(sometimes) and possibly a D&D tubular K-member.

stock bottom end on the motor, centrifugal blower with all the supporting mods. Eaton differantal, maybe some blower cams if i can find a set for cheap. dont want to notch my pistons but im guessing it will come down to that.

If I remember correctly stock rev limiter on the 2v's is set at 6200 or 6250. With a 26" tall tire and 4.10's you can top out 4th gear at 117mph(6199rpms) and with 3.73's in 4th you can hit 128(6170 rpms) Now I doubt you'll have the power to hit 128 in the 1/4 so 4.10's would be the ideal gear for the 1/4. You'll finish deep into 4th. Hope this helps. With your set up the car should go mid 11's at 116-117. -Mark

it will be a little slower than that, i have that mach1000 upgrade and it makes the car about 150lbs heavier.

looking for at least 450rwhp with the cams

If you have any kind of power adder hitting that car I would do a 3:55 or less ....

my c4 will have a 3:55 No more 4:10's or 4:30's for me ..

Unless your motor goes over 7500 there is pretty much no senes to get that big of a gear.

I am pretty sure hte factory redline is 6000 but I have heard with a good tune you can raise it 1-200.

6200 is the redline but i dont like to spin it that hard, i only sping it to 5600-5800 when im running it hard.

probably go ahead with the 3:73 gears, im thinking with the boost and the suspension i will have enough to wind out that gear and still keep a good gear for traveling every now and again.
