Default so i got the the new motor started tonight...

i finally got the motor in and cranked up,about 3minutes into it the headers started to glowing red they got so hot.is this normal?they art brand new ceramic coated headers.i had to shut it down after 10 minutes i was starting to get worried.oil presure kicked in fine, and held steady presure.temp was also good.

2nd question...i have the black morroso double sump oil pan,how much oil is it supposed to take.

dont know that its normal for your headers to glow when at idle. Were they glowing at idle, if so what are you idleing at? Oil pan is most likely a 7 quart sump.

X2 !!! Burning raw fuel in the headers will make them glow very fast!

it is a 7 quart pan, and they are both correct, too much fuel cause the headers to glow by burning the excess fuel in the header itself, or too lean can cause them to glow by having the exhaust temp too high
