And if its the duratech V6, changing the alternator requires disassembly of the right side suspension.

hence why i asked in my first post WHAT issues i should be looking out for. i'm already well aware that it's a contour and that it will never, EVER score me any quality pelt.

The older the contour the more issues it has. Wiring harness recall is an issue, rack and pinion, water pumps, CV joints, power steering pumps and of course the oil pans do not have baffles in the V6's and tend to spin bearings. Other than that it is about it. LOL.. enjoy...
