Make sure you Clean out the threads in the block for the HeadBolts!!! and use some never sieze on the bolts... What kind of heads do you have? If they are aluminum you have to use a copper ring gasket also...

The car has ARP head studs and Comectics are supposed to be better than Fel-Pros but If I cant find any I will be getting the blue Fel-Pros.

Ewwww. head studs. estimate just went up

Any reason for the studs? Honestly, they are even more difficult to get right than normal bolts. Plus, urban legend is that if you are using a stock block, studs can actually distort the deck... ?? Dont know about that one - but put it this way. My next project plan is about 600hp and Im going to use arp bolts, not studs.

Use ARP thread sealer and ARP assembly lube or oil on the head studs, not anti-seize.

The studs are a safer way to go.....And as for a head gasket I am recomending him somthing reusable just incase we find something else wrong and then he has 50-70 bucks down the drain because he didnt get good gaskets.

Joe I will try to find you some today ..

They worked with the old motor...should work with this one. The old motor had the cheap HG on it with no problem sealing so a better HG should be overkill.
