Default Cooling 351W

I have a few more questions and i figured check with you all first. I am starting in on the coolant system. The next item on list is going to be Waterpump and Neck along with hardware/gaskets/thermo. I spoke to chad at Blue Oval and he helped alot with the installation of my intake manifold. I asked him what to do about the Waterpump i initially wanted to go with electric but after weighing in all the factors i decided to go with a belt driven water pump. My questions is what brand would you all recommend? I will also need the Hardware and i seem to be having trouble finding the hardware online (www.summitracing.com) I noticed they have 302ci hardware is that the same? I also wanted to know what angle Gooseneck i need i figured a 45Degree would be sufficient since i wont have clearence issues. I will be ordering the Thermostat also, when i spoke to chad he said with the bore on my motor keeping it cool is vital. Will a 180Degree thermo be good? I figured 160Degree would not be necessary. All input welcome!

Derek

The hardware is the same for the 351,ARP has a set.Auto, compression, and cam size all have to be considered on the thermostat.

You do have a small cam,the AOD will add to the heat factor, what size are the combustion chambers on the heads?

I'm gonna guess your compression is gonna be in the 11-1 range. With an AOD and that compression I would go with a 160 bro,or a restricter plate if alot of traffic driving is not involved.

What head gaskets are you going to be using? Maybe Fel-Pro 1011-1's or 1011-2's? Also, do your pistons have one set of valve reliefs or two? If I remember correctly, the DSS pistons have two valve reliefs, one for in-line valves and the other for TFS Twisted Wedge heads. Are the heads new or have they been milled any?

Heads already installed by sam at Coastal Dyno he did the entire build. I am not sure what gasket he went with i have been trying to get ahold of him but no answer. The pistons have 2 valve reliefs for regular inline valves and a seperate relief for twisted wedge design. The heads have about 1000miles on them, and have never been milled.

I'm asking a few questions only because I am just trying to figure out what kind of compression ratio you might end up with.
