Default Wheel & Tire Combo

Selling my Cobra R's to purchase the Weld Prostars but not sure of what size and tires to go with. The current setup I have is 275/40/17 Nitto DR's for the rear and 255/40/17's for the front. There is very little room if any for bigger of a tire for the rear. The Weld's of course are 15x8's. What size tire in a 15" would be comparable to my 275/40/17's? For the front I'm getting the 4" or the 3.5", not sure yet. What size tire for the front as well? Also where is the cheapest place for skinny's, how much? The car has Tokico struts and Steeda springs, like I said there is really no room to spare on the rear. Please help so I get the right sizes.

your current tires are about 10.5 inches wide and 25.7 inches tall

on my 86 coupe i run a 275/60/15 drag radial which is 28 inches tall and 10.5 wide

a 275/50/15 in the rear would be 25.8 inches tall and the same width as well.

i paid 80 for my skinny fronts at advantage tire on ulmerton and starkey in largo.

i understand pep boys is cheaper, most people but volkswagen tires on their skinnys, just remember there not speed rated.

IMO the 4 inch fronts look funky. i have 3.5's with 165/15 vw tires.

I was wondering about the 4" for the front, because most of the ad's I've seen were 3.5". Looks like I need to go with the 275/50/15's because as of right now the top of my tire is about an inch from hitting the fenderwell.

It's got the 5 lug conversion. Thanks for the offer though.

i have the mickey thompsons, 1.44 60', with my worn out front suspension, i pulled the old shocks off and they collapsed immediately. cant wait to get it back on the track with my 90/10, coil overs and tubular stuffs.

ive driven in the rain with them, they're not bad at all, as long as you know how to work the accel pedal, i learned how to do that by 1.6ing on shit ass radials.
