well 'm on budget of $3000, so i was thinking of just doing all motor until Christmas time, then adding a vortech s-trim with 8 pounds, ,but this is what i was thinking , a 306 using DSS light weight pistons, Eagle I beam rods, AFR 165s, a E cam with 1.7s, a TFS track heat manifold, 70 mm throttle body, 30 lb inj and my existing pro-m 80mm that would be reprogramed for 30 lb inj, but how long do you guys think the stock crank will hold up, and how much power, any item you think would be better use just let me know, i would a custom cam but it cost to mush, and i would probably order something really extreme

i like your idea, if your going with alphabet soup cams at least get an f303.
i currently have an f303 and used to have an e303. i like the f cam much better.

Im working on my new daily driver combo right now, going with a single T70 setup and when its all said and done I will have less than 3,000 into the whole setup without any junkyard parts or redneck engineering involved. It definetly can be done you just have to spend some time researching and searching for good deals on parts.

i got my rotating assembly yesterday, its a 331 Eagel stroker kit with reverse dome pistons, its all in a mexican 302 block, right now i'm saving up for some heads, i'm probably going to buy a set of afr 165's or a set of edelbrock rpms, or i'll buy a set of gt40x's and trade my buddy for his 185's, but i will probably swap to a carb set up, not to sure yet,

if i use the 165's it will be bluroed all the way, cause with 60 cc comp chambers, it will only make 8.6: 1 comp ratio. so it will have to be boosted. have you guys heard anything bad about the eagle stroker kits, i was just wondering, cause i got a good deal on it all

Just me thinking but a basic heads/cam/intake is the ticket. Power adders are a trap! The block will go before your crank. Get a nice h/c/i combo and drive it every day and enjoy. I have both a turbo and a Novi powered mustang and wish I had a stock 5.0 5 spd coupe again.
Both of the cars are like boats. Holes in the water that fill with money.
