Yea, comparing flow #'s though... the 185's never really have any advantage over the 165s until .550"+ .. I won't have a cam in there capable of taking advantage of that. Also, I'd assume with the size of the intake valve and intake port on the 185s, I'd lose some low end as well and not really gain anything up top...

I didn't know they were that close.I guess if your not gonna run that big of cam go with the 165's but plan ahead bro.I had a friend that had 165's on a 302,then put a 347 in it and wanted to sell the 165's to buy 185's.

Yea I suppose I should. Hopefully these will be the last set of heads I have to buy for a while.

Good luck with your choice bro.If I were to buy a out of the box set of heads they would definitely be AFR's,they can't be matched without alot of port work.
