reverse not working in mustang

Default reverse not working in mustang

i have a 86 mustang 5.0 (if that matters) but everytime i put in in reverse it stalls and its a automatic all the other gears work perfectly it has donw that since i bought it and i want to know if the flowteck headers a bbk h pipe are anygood or is there a better brand thanks

I have no idea what it would be, but I wouldnt worry about performance untill you get it fixed

try keeping the RPM's up just a little and engaging reverse. if it stays running but dosen't take the gear more than likely you need a rebuild. if this works bring your idle up a tad.

bringing the rpms up does keep it running but it spins the tires alot so i try not to do it
