So my R Block Is Fuxored !
Yes that is true, I just recieved my Dart block, and I was surprised by how much has been done already, it still needs the basic, but alot has been done to it.

damn, i would think myself if you drop 2k on a block, it should damn well be ready to go.......... i take it thats not the case, but in my book it should be....... thats alot of cash for a hunk of metal..........

True, but at least if its done right the first time, its done. I know I can throw anything I want to at my block now.

Well you have to figure that you're paying for a block that will take anything that 99% of us would throw at it and not even blink.. I was making (calculated, never dyno'd on the gas) about 990HP and it never blinked..
As with anything in racing, you want to play you've got to pay..

Actually from what I have read the Dart blocks need some extra work to them that the R blocks do not need. Both blocks need lots of finishing work no matter what, that was fully expected. But when the inital line hone is off and I have a few lifter bores that are already to big I expect Ford to make it right and not have it left to me to fix their issue. Not sweating it to much, heck I might use this block anyway since the deck is so good on it.
Sp heres they question at teh moment which block is better a dart of the R??? Oe would you say any of the 67 blocks???

I still like the R's better. Less money and they need about the same about of finishing work. Plus I know now for a fact Ford will stand behind their product if there is a issue, not sure what the Dart policy is.
My new block suppoesdly arrives tomorrow.

This is why I went to Fulco to build my motor. First he discoverd the very minimal defects which I think many others would have overlooked and then he told me about them so I could get another block instead of him spending many hours fixing it which would of course have cost me more money for the build.
