Default I'm sick of Cobra rear brakes

This is my second Cobra that I've had to do this on and it ain't any f-ucking easier! What is the secret? I've compressed the piston as far as it will go- because it won't turn anymore. The pads are seated against the rotor, etc...

It just will not go on. That crap @ss emergency brake cable is part of the problem.

Before I get too stupid, has anyone figured out a better way to put the caliper back on?

Last time it took me two days to work it out. Looks like this time it will be the same.

I'm still debating whether or not the engineer that designed them was a genius are a fucking idiot. I'm leaning towards idiot myself.

Someone else mentioned that also but I don't see any tabs or lips or anything like that on the pad. It's completely smooth.

I'm going to disconnect the E-brake cable to free up some slack. I think this will be the moving point.

I'll check again for the tabs.

Thanks.
