Default Anybody had this problem?

Occasionally when down shifting or coming to a stop at a light or whatever the car wants to die out on me. I usually have to hit the gas before it stalls out on me. It dosen't happen everytime I come to a stop but it does happen frequently. The car idles at around 800 rpms. The last time it happened it wouldn't start. I called the guy that did my motor and he said to hold the gas pedal to the floor and turn it over until it started. It started right away. He said the injectors were overloaded. None of this shit used to happen before I put the S/C on. Any suggestions of what could be going on????

Sounds like it could be a tune issue. Perhaps the car gets rich and stalls out.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

My '92 would do that but I had a vacuum leak under the upper plenum. Fucker cammed like hell at idle. It was great. Just had to feather the gas a little when stopping.

i dunno whats happening, but mines about the same, if i dont keep on the gas as low rpms, it will just spudder out and die sometimes, so when i come to a light i need to drop it into park and rev just enough to waste all my money on fuel...hella annoying

Fuel pressure gauge at normal driving stays right under 40.

I'm really taking a shot in the dark but I'm thinking air/fuel issue or vacuum leak.

Have you double checked all the intake hoses and vacuum lines?

Take your engine builder for a ride if it happens all the time. I'm sure it's easier to diagnose in person.

All the hoses and lines seem ok.
