Default turbo kit progress

I got a box from jet hot today.. All of the coated parts to my HP twin turbo kit arrived undamaged. Even though this stuff is only around 1/4 of the kit, it still gives me some hope.. We'll see when the rest of the stuff gets here.

I remember reading your original post about getting the turbo kit when I started looking for another Cobra. You got some serious patience!

What are we waiting for now, the turbos?

I'll rotate your tires if you give me a ride when it's done

Yeah.. I don't think I've ever waited this long for anything before.. I made the post about ordering the kit in december, but I had actually been emailing different kit manufacturers since october 2004 trying to get a feel for what kit would be best. There is a guy on modularfords that ordered a PTK kit for his '04 way before I ordered my HP and he still has not got all of his parts.

The turbine housings were jet hot coated, so I have those now..I guess you could say I have half of the turbos.. still waiting on the compressors. Basically all I have now is the hot/cold tubing and the turbine housings. I still need the rest of the turbos, the intercooler, all of the fittings, the suspension components, intake, etc. All that stuff is off the shelf stuff though - I have everything that has been fabricated.

If we both live long enough to see this come to completion I'd be happy to give you a ride

I'd ask for the off the shelf stuff just to keep the packages coming. Makes time go by when you have something to look forward to and it has a tracking number

What kinda boost are you going to push? Any goals on rwhp?

Cant wait to see this done. I know what waiting is like. I waited six months for my Pauter rods. The distributor said he couldn't get them. So I had him mail a check to Full Race for a set of their Manley Turbo Tuff rods. The check took two weeks to clear but after speaking to the owner Geoff on the phone they shipped them out four days after they received the "starter check". What turbochargers did you end up going with?

I got 57 trim t3/t4's. I'm going to run them at 9-11 PSI at first until I get the fuel system and drivetrain built up a little better. That should be good for 550-600 rwhp. I already have a mcleod twin disk and 26 spline input shaft on the way and hopefully I can keep from snapping any half shafts or blowing my diff cover till I get some more beefed up rear end components.

Once I get that shit all sorted out and get a fuel system that can handle the power I plan to run 21 psi - about 850 rwhp and 900+ rwtq.

Would probably be even more expensive locally, as it would be a one-off. THe mod kits come with k-member, coil-overs and such. The headers extend the turbos basically into the bumper cover area.
