A coworker's 95 5.0 vert started acting up today. Drove it this morning, stopped and turned it off, came back and went to start again but nothing. No starter clicking, no fuel pump noise, and no horn!!! It was like the main relay or something was not kicking on. The strange part came when I turned the key back to the off position. As soon as I turned it off the check engine light started blinking and I could hear clicking under the hood that seemed to click in time with the light. From what I could tell the clicking was coming from the Constant Control Relay Module up in front near the radiator.

We tried all of the normal procedures, jumpstart (no change), checked all fuses (all good), switched the relays around under the hood (no change). We ended up calling AAA to take it to the house where we could work on it but to our suprise, after it came off the tow truck it started up. Had to turn it over for a few minutes and it ran rough for the first 15 seconds but it looked like it was loaded up on fuel by the looks of the exhaust.

He's afraid to drive the car anywhere now since we don't know what it was. I was thinking it may be related to the factory alarm. The alarm has not worked in years though. I sat in the car, locked the doors and set the alarm. I was able to open the door and start the car.

Looking for any suggestions or someone who may have run into this before.
