Anyone know if you can fit 390 heads onto a 360?

390/428 is an FE motor, the 360 isnt. sorry way different.

Road rage dont put your hopes down so fast, fortunately for you shinysideups statement was incorrect.

Both the 390 and 360 are FE motors, I really am not certain if all FE motor heads are interchangeable but my guess is that they are. Hope that brought your spirits back up after shinysideup smashed them into the ground! im jp. I'll look into it and make sure they are interchangeable for you.

EDIT: Ok yes good news 360/390 heads can be changed! They are the same motor with different strokes 360=3.5... 390=3.78

yes the 360 is a fe engine they are all manufactured from the factory as 352 blocks and bored from there and stroked with different cranks, any time i have dealed with them they have been the same heads

352, 360, 390, 428.... same motor.... different rotating gear inside. I have a 390 with 352 heads, I have also heard of guys with non cobra 428's running 390 heads. Higher compression....
