rev limiter on 04 gt?

Default rev limiter on 04 gt?

so the other day i missed third when i was trying to powershift it (stupid ass stock shifter ) but anyways, i hit liek 6500 and never hit the rev limiter, my redline is 5800.. does my car come with a rev limiter? if so does anyone know where its at as far as RPMS go?

pretty sure its 6250 rpm......... on my 97 thats what it was and i read they are all set at that.......


but if you really hit 6500 who knows! ?

Now that will rev the car higher than the limiter.

Typically the stock tach are off by a few hundred. When not in gear the limiter will still work. This is how I launch my car. I've hit my limiter right before I let the clutch out.

One time in the burnout box I wasn't paying attention and looked down at my tach and it read 7600 but it didn't hit the limiter. I highly doubt it spun to 76. I'm sure you have a limiter and I believe stangerang is right about where the limiter is. -Mark

so you think the tach is just a little off then? it like BARELY touched 6500 so it could very easily be off 1-200 im sure, i was just curious. and i havent ever gone from 3rd to second, i never go that fast lol

Mine bounces the limiter at 6900rpms on my tach, I'm sure it's off though .. if it's not .. sorry valvetrain.
