Yea, 8.1X @ 86.6-87. If I can pull a 1.6 60 and no bog off the line I'm thinking it will hit 7.8X @ 87-88.

Might have been those 4 hotlaps at Sunshine with a 160* thermostat installed backwards. How hot did it get during those runs? Hot ECT with high loads and cold air = detonation = possible blown HG.

Never got above 180. I never hot laped it. I got right back in line after a couple runs, but they stoped the street cars before I could hotlap it.

Have you checked the alignment of the planets and the stars? Just trying to keep you away from having to settle on headgaskets now.

Last straw for me to grasp at....how about the routing of your belt? The waterpump should be rotating countercolckwise looking at it from in front of the car.

Man, whatever it may be is beyond me anymore. I've changed everything and this is really frustrating how it tricks me into thinking I fixed it.

This has happened 3 times like this, I let the car idle up to temp, go drive it around, try and make some heat by making a few pulls and it doesn't get hotter. Then I'll try and drive it later that day somewhere and the bitch will overheat.

I havnt read all the posts.. but go to autozone or napa or 1 of those stores. There is a test kit they offer that tests for exhaust gas in your coolant. ( the name of the kit escapes me right now) but you put this blue liquid in the kit, put in on where your radiator cap goes and crank the car, let it idle for a few minutes. Your car sounds like it is doing the same thing mine was when i had a headgasket seeping. It doesnt run hot all the time. Hell mine would go a couple weeks without getting hot, then 1 day on the way to get milk or somthing stuipid, it would just run hot with no warning. You dont always have to have milky oil, or steam from your exhaust... these mustangs are gay sometimes. let us know how it goes man.

I think I'm just gonna take it up to fordspeed and let Joe fuck with it, I've lost all patience with it and I'm pretty confident it's a headgasket.
