i'm not gonna admit anything but that does create a problem. did you put the 180 in while you were right there?

yes sir.

Seems to be running great. sits at 180 constantly, will get a little hotter when I romp on it, but then cools back down to 180 very fast.

You had me worried Vince. I thought I was gonna have to pull those heads back off your car.

Give me a call. I want to get that thing back on the dyno for a few pulls and see if we can find a few more horsepower now that you've made a couple of new changes.

Are you going to be running this Saturday? Are we gonna see any high 12's?

I'm thinking mid to low 12 with a better launch.

I'm not sure if I'll be running, I'll have to take the car on the highway to see how it cools before I'll make any decision on whether or not I'll be out there racing, but if it does ok and you have a trailer if I break it, I'll be there.

Maybe I'll drop the car off sometime next week and have you wire up this electric fan I have sitting here in my garage...

See! I was right...something installed backwards in the water passages...just wasn't the headgasket.

Everytime I install a new thermostat, I wake up in the middle of the night trying to remember just exactly which way I oriented it. It worries the hell out of me until I see that it's not going to go into meltdown.

What did it run last time out at Sunshune? 8.17 or something close to that?
