What is the eastiest way to pull the clutch out? i have acess to my friends car lift. and never have done it without the engine out of the car already but is it easier to pull the engine out or tranny out?

no way on the engine.........

the tranny is easy to get out, especially on the foxes......... you'll need like a 5/8 socket and like 20 minutes to get it out once you have all the bullshit out of the way......

the tranny's on mustangs (5-speed) are something i would definatly reccomend someone with a bit of skills to do.......

i've done a few with just jackstands and regular tools....... you dont really need anything special........

in fact it might be easier for you to do it with jack stands considering you'll only need to drop the trans down about a foot and then just lift it back up a foot when your done with the clutch......

oh yeah, word of advice if you haven't done it.........

when you pull the driveshaft, fluid os going to come out of the trans........ have something there to catch it unless you like working in a mess!

yes, there are like 6-8 bolts that hold the flywheel to the crank, you'll prolly need an impact or huge wrench to get them off, and should put them on very tightly as well(correct torque).........

all in all its an easy job, just go slow and do everything right the first time so you dont end up having to rip it all apart again......

make sure you put a new throwout bearing and pilot bearing in while your down in there, and as you said- get the flywheel resurfaced/replaced as well ......
