I found it!! pics....
Found the prob. I guess I couldn't see unless I really jacked the car up high enough to see the back half of the upper CA bushings. These are well were poly urethane. Is there anything stronger? Here's the carnage. Sorry for the poor quality pics. Mark

It tore both sides in half so when I hit the gas the control arm would hit the bolt causing the noise. I didn't think I would tear both uppers before the lowers. Weird. -Mark

Good find.I would say with the 60's your pulling and the way you drive the car, solid would be the only thing stronger.Ofcorse there rough on torque boxes and hard on the street, but they will keep your problems at bay.

You could also get some machined out of delrin. It's a hard plastic polymer made by dupont that is similar to Nylon. It's been used very successfully in the Mustang Cobra IRS to help control wheel hop. It's hard enough that it doesn't deflect and unload like the stock rubber bushings.
Or you could get some heim joint ends welded into some tubular stock.
You mentioned uppers and lowers... If you're still using the factory 4 link setup that if there's no deflection in the bushing that it will bind.

Good advice guys. But I think the stock weld points look good. But I will reinforce the stock welds(That's what I did to the lowers). I'm not make gobs of power to completely tear the torque boxes out. Do you think that not greasing them occassionally was the cause. Cause I never greased them.
