There are people walking off the lots here in Florida (on the other coast) with GTO's for 28k. A buddy of mine bought one of the first ones over there for $35k something and he is kicking himself.

Well, the retail for one I mean. All cars have big price breaks sometimes.

If I went to a pontiac dealership today it would probably cost me nearly 40k to drive off the lot in an 05 gto.

i'll put my 64 gto vert against an 04 or an 05 gto and have a good chance, but stock for stock it's gonna take a cobra to win one for the stang persuasion. For the looks i think they were going for something like the '64 (original), where they took a lemans and put a monster engine in it and re-badged it. I hate the looks of the new ones, but i'd take one if it was given to me
