if u know how to solder and assemble boards, u can make a megasquirt for around $175, i have a guy that makes them and comes with a CNCed box for about $248 shipped. Like that its a full fuel controller, to add ignition control all you have to do is buy the 8 cyl EDIS parts, coil packs, VR sensor, trigger wheel, EDIS module, which u can get a cophers u pull it for about $70 (thats if you dont pocket anything ) and then you can have a full standalone for under $350. The megsquirt II will be out within the month, which will be the same price (im pretty sure, are like $10) more which comes with a faster processor and a 12x12 vs the normal 8x8 VE tables. So basically you just upgraded to the best ignition system possible and got a full standalone so you can sell your MSD shit bc the EDIS will out perform it. The only down side (like any full standalone) u have to build a harness, if u need help with that, ive done a few now.

plug in a laptop, download the shareware tuning software, and tune on the fly.

Whats the crane interceptor about anyway? Never heard of that.

Right now im running 42# pressure on 24#
Umm, like an SAFC? The SAFC suffers from the usual piggyback issues, all it does is alter the airflow signal going to the ecu so significant SAFC correction percentages throw your timing out of whack by putting you into the wrong load map (at least on karmann maf dsm's), but it's the cheapest easiest way to alter the fuel curve. I think some of the ford-specific tuning solutions mentioned in this thread would be a better choice, giving you control of your fuel and timing.

The Crane interceptor is the predecessor to the PMS. It will still control nitrous, shift light, etc... or you can hook up a 3 bar MAP if you ever boost it. You can adjust the rev limiter, fuel, timing, etc.

I have owned 2 of them over the years along with 2 PMS units and except for updates they are the same.

Here is an example and pic

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.

You can use a laptop if you get the Interacq program for it. Go to www.stangtuning.com and you will find info about it.

No doubt. I can remember how cool I felt to have one back in 94 running my nitrous. People were always like "WTF is THAT???" LOL!
