Default 3rd brake light on the bird...

well i knew it was out so i figured id just change it right ? wrong... turns out theyre prone to overheating and melting the sockets and the housing. i knew this but i never thought mine could have that problem. well i finally got the lights and sockets out of the housing, it took forever and some plastic snapping to get the melted down sockets out. and turns out i need a new wiring harness for that light and/or a whole new assembly... the part numbers are E9SZ-15B465-A for harness, and E9WB-13A617-AA for housing. ive been looking and i cant find these parts anywhere. im guessing im going to make ANOTHER trip to walker unless someone can help me out. i just got the car back because the rods in the ignition actuator snapped... my bill.... $15 part + $300 for labor total... 350 bucks for a couple damn rods... i guess i needed them seeing as i couldnt ingage the starter and when i finally did the car wouldnt turn off anything short of sticking my arm up the intake to choke it out. anyways... if anyone knows anything about this or knows a way for me to avoid having to go to the dealer again, though id just buy the part/s and do it myself, it would be a great help... heres what it looks like ....

Eric, the problems obvious, you brake to hard and to much. I'm just kidding, I have never heard of a flaw like that, especially one where they wouldn't have a recall or something for that. Anyway I hope you figure it out, even if you need to go up to walker AGAIN. Good Luck Bud, Give me a ring if you ever get stuck working on your car!

Looks like your T-bird was about to turn itself into a firebird. Have someone make you a LED board that fits in the new housing so it won't do that crap again. Scary.

i fixed it a while ago, just put a lower watt bulb in. drewster, you should put that on www.tccoa.com or www.sccoa.com whether you are parting out or sellin whole, im sure you can sell most of that car
(how much for the super charger though?)
