At the dyno day, I told a few I wish I could have made another pass without my air filter on it, cause it was rather dirty. Well I didnt realize how dirty iwas till I decided to clean it today. The bottom side was literally caked over. I mean the valleys in the pleats were level with the peaks, Sunshine could barely get thru the whole filter. I had to wash it twice in fact to get it clean. I also cleaned the maf sensor to make sure it was oil free as well.

So on my way from work tongiht on this nice cool night, I decide to downshift to 3rd at 60 mph and see if I can notice anything, well I cant. Why cant it? Well at 4k rpms on it just pings like a motherfucker and I have to let out. So I deicde to pull over on the side of the road, and I dial in 1/3 of a turn on my fuel regulator. I head back out, its still pinging but not as bad.

So now I know I gotta be making more power consdering the more air its taking in and the the more fuel its gonna need.

Right now I am running 24# injectors with the pressure turned down a bit cause I was slightly over injected, or so I thought. I run 12^ timng and 87 octance. I guess I might have to up the pressure back to stock in hopes it goes back to normal.

 

Fuck that, 87 is 20 cents cheaper a gallon.
