Default Nitrous question ...

I believe what I am asking is called a window switch, but I want to be able to hold down a button to turn the spray off while I'm shifting to preserve my t5 the best I can.

I was wondering if it is feasible to wire this "window switch" to a button on a hurst shifter knob so I could just hold it in while I shift and let it go when the clutch engages.

Or maybe I could just set the nitrous up to the button on the shifter rather than having a wot switch?

What do you guys suggest?

Then what I need is a window switch to activate at say 2,500-3,000rpms and shut off at 4500-5000rpms.

just get a WOT switch.. when u lift to shift.. it doesnt spray.. simple.... But it sounds like you are describing a momentary switch...

You can use a simple relay to cut power to the solinoids when you push the button. I think using a WOT switch would be better for your situation if you are trying to preserve your t-5, because I am sure that you are not going to be powershifting.

yeah...WOT switch in conjunction with a window switch is a good idea.

Yea, I'm just trying to go about things as safe as possible. I'm figuring a 75-125 dry shot will suffice. My a:f was 10.1:1 on an all motor pull, so I'd say I'm safe with no other fuel upgrades.

I know a guy on here who ran all kinds of quick 11 sec passes with a T-5.

Some hold, some don't. Mine seems to be one of the good ones, but with another 100hp and 150lbs of torque, who knows.
