I was wondering why they recommend a different gear when getting a bigger camshaft? I was wondering since i have equivalant to the xcam and i still have the stock gear if that would have a big increase in my cars overall performance? thnx

Reason being is because you lose quite a bit of low end power with such a big cam. With a gear you can counteract the loss of low end torque.
