hmmmm, im lost then, cuz the ponies i had on my 93 (we are talking about the same ponys right) had 245s ..........but no, what i meant to say was that for any sort of performance approace to an 8" wide rim, no less than 245 is acceptable

hell, even my smooties i had on my 96 had 245/50/16s on em....and they were 16x8 too, whos tellin you that ponies are 16x7?

Ponies 90-93 are 16x7.And Nitto's also have a taller sidewall so they won't look all bulky.

The 94-95 might be 16x8,in that case I could see you fitting them.

well now that the question has been answered, heres one from me. i got stock pony wheels 16x7, and the tires are 245 45 16. now i cant find many wheels for my car. so im going to go 17" but with my car lowered, i dont want them to rub in the front when i turn the wheel all the way. i hear alot of people have that problem. any suggestions? like 17x8 with 225 40's maybe?
my car is lowered 1.5", and i have 17x9.5 Cobra R's all the way around with 255/40 up front and 275/40 in the rear. I had 315/35's on my 9.5" wheels and the sidewalls bowed out some i can only imagine how much they will bow out on a 9" rim....

and 90-93 ponies = 16x7 and came with 225/55 factory but you can fit 245/50's and the 94-98 ponies are 16x8 and came with 225/55 also...

I have an '88 GT that has been lowered at least 2 inch's. It has 17x9 Cobra R's with 245/45/17's up front and 275/40/17's in the back. The only time it rubs is when you turn the wheel so it is maxed out.
