Default Ford Truck?

So I'm thinking about getting a F150 and I want to know how the motors meaning the 5.4 Triton V8 hold up when it comes to high mileage? Like say anywhere from 100,000 to 150,000. Will they keep going or are they exhausted by this point? I know it has to do with how they are treated but theoretically speaking.

Trust me the 5.4 holds up. I see at least 4 or 5 come in for routine maintnance a day with well over 200,000 miles.

It all depends on how it was taken care of and how it was driven....but if you check it out thoroughly and it runs okay, its "probably" okay.....

I have a buddy that had one as his work truck with the 5.4...he beat the living shit out of it, never changed the oil, didn't take care of it and it took a shit at like 75k miles. So, just check it out thorougly - see if the owner has service records on it or anything.
