I am running my first American Iron race this weekend. I'll be at Summitt Point near Wash D.C. sat. and sun. It should be interesting, plus they are having some ricefest called Hyper-fest. www.hyper-fest.com if you want to check out the activities.

I set up my scales today to weight it and see if I am within the 9.5 power/weight rule. It is a little lighter than I thought at 3175 with me in it. It was on the dyno last week and made 336hp and 327 tq. so by my calculations I am about 110lbs too light.

I only have room for about 50-60lbs of ballast so I might have a problem in impound if I finish in the top 4. ....it should make for a fun weekend anyway, nothing like a little drama.

Yea, I am def. going to go w/ 2deg. less timing and the 50lbs of ballast.

 

just had to buy 40lbs more balast today to match up with the 3200lb minimum with the class I'm running in.. of course now that i've done that they'll probably drop the weights.. I've got almost 200lbs of lead in the car...

 

damn, i forgot that AI series has a power to weight ratio.....i gotta get in on this sometime
