Mustang update
We wanted to try to make it track night so we took it out for the first time last Thursday. I had a pretty fat set up in the FAST system (or so i thought) so I thought it would run good. On the first pass we just rolled on the throttle out of the hole and ran a 1.58 60ft and shut down @ 400 ft because we blew the dip stick out. More ventalation please. It ran a 7.30 @ 71 mph 1/8th.
The 2nd pass we loaded the converter a little bit and ran a 1.54 60ft but hit the limiter @7600 (forgot I set it low on the first pass). We pulled it into second and burped the throttle and the car spit back. After shutting down at about 400 again it ran a 7.1 75 mph 1/8. After I got back I looked at the datalog and saw that it ran 15:1 air:fuel from the top of first on. After blaming 100 things for the lean condition I came to realize that the car uses 1 1/2 gallons of fuel per pass. We had put 15 gallons of gas and ran it on the street a few times. So the lean condition was we where OUT OF GAS! We have a sump in the tank, but Ford puts the low point on the passenger side of the tank. So the sump doesnt really get any gas until there is 1 gallon in the tank. We also popped a header gasket on the 2nd pass.
So the car is back in the garage getting a fuel cell in the trunk, a couple new guages in the dash, finishing off the seat belts, new exhaust gaskets, plugs and a crankcase evacuation system. Should take me a week or so to get it all the shit installed. And then we will try again. I think that if we made it to the eight it would have ran 6.50 @ 112 which is good for a 9.65 @ 135 which is good for only 20 psi with no after cooler. Once we put the bug pulley on and the after cooler in (which is good for 250 hp) we should get the 8.50 we are looking for. Maybe with a full rear suspension we could squeek out 7.99 WOW what a ride.
Until next time.

The boost charges HARD in the end.
Best thing I ever heard on nmraracing.com forums was
NO2 makes power from 0-800 feet
Turbos from 330-1000
Blower from 500-1320
explains alot when it comes to tuning.
