This is something that most people don't take into account. I can park my 88, pull the valve covers, clean, coat , and have them back on the car in about an hour and a half or so...and I always get asked "$50 for an hour of work???" They don't realize that I have well over 400 hours in testing cure times, proper adhesion temps, etc... not to mention what I have invested in the equipment.

Another thing I didn't mention is that if i am doing several items the same color, it usually costs less. I have a package-type deal for carb cars...$200 for the intake, valve covers, air cleaner, brackets, t-stat housing and pulleys. If the alternator is apart i'll do the housing as well at no charge. I also have a guy that I am figuring a deal for pretty much everything above plus timing cover, water pump, and some misc other stuff. Everything blue except the brackets and t-stat housing black...$275ish.
