this weekend i am goin to pick up a t-5 to put in my 89 LX 5.0 , i was just wondering if i had to do anything to the computer for the swap. there is an AODE in it now. thanx. i was also wondering if the drive shaft length and tranny mounts were the same?

 

You have an AODE in a fox?

You'll need the obvious things like bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, quadrant, brake/clutch pedal set, etc. Pretty sure driveshaft is the same.

My brother ran the same PCM in his 89 GT when he went to a manual transmission. Most people seem to prefer the automatic PCM since it won't pull timing between shifts (or so I hear).

 

Your AOD driveshaft and tranny mount will work fine, however, you are most likely going to have to cut the welds on the transmission crossmember so you can slide it forward to get it to line up correctly with the T-5.
