lol my biggest mistake was installing a spoiler on my best friend's 97 mustang. There are holes in the underside of the trunk lid where you drill for the screws. BUT there are 2 on each side.. One is the correct placement, and the other..well i dont know why its there. But anyways, I drilled the first hole right in place and everything. I went and lined up the other hole but when I went to look at the placement on the underside of the trunk lid, I accidentally picked the WRONG HOLE and drilled right through... Oooo shit.. So after realizing all that, I installed the spoiler and went back to the screw hole. For the time being, I just put a stainless screw in and sealed it with silicone. I later gave her the money to fix it but GOD I cannot believe I did that. It was just a slip of the eye I guess. Luckily, it was my best friend and we can laugh about it today.. She doesnt hate me cuz the whole car needs a paint job so one more spot on her car just isnt a big deal lol.

Hmm, my biggest mistake was going out to buy a used car without knowing anything at all about cars, without taking somebody along that knew something about cars, and buying the car even though I thought it was a bad idea because I was impatient. Fortunately, I've learned my lesson and learned a lot about cars since then, so I'll never repeat the mistake. Learn from your mistakes, and you're doing well.

I messed up when I assembled my motor last Nov. without making sure the block and crank were clean. I was just in a hurry to put it in to shake it down at the last race of the year. Well, it ran fine but the oil press. was low and when I took it out I found out it wiped out the rod and main bearings.

I had to have the crank cut -.010 and all new bearings and gaskets. Now I am puttining it together again for this season with my pockets about $600 lighter.

taking my car to the dealership to get work...........

i've made little mistakes on my own, but nothing that cost me too much money or was too hard to figure out.......

but i'll tell ya, dealershios suck ass when it comes to doing a good job, and they are slow as fuck, and charge way too much......

when i got my new motor in, which has gave me nothing but problems, they gave me the motor, but i had to pay intall which ended up costing more than $1400, for that price i coulda got a PI motor , and or a built shortblock and put it in myself ..........

alot of the reason i didnt is they said they would warranty my entire drivetrain for 2 yrs........... well, like 8 months later when i went back for some trans work, they voided my warranty because they said my DOT street legal tires were too big ...... they were only 255's ...........

fuckers !

Using gear oil in my tranny rather than ATF like it was suppose to be. Well wasn't so bad I learned how to rebuild a tranny.
