Default Today was a good day...

...those damn car gods finally gave me a break.

First my day starts out with a nice email from a guy in MA who wants my Pectel. $1200 later via PayPal and its on its way up to the frozen tundra as of 5pm this afternoon.

Second, my fuel rail arrives on time. Go home and everything installs quickly without any problems. Start her up...no leaks...sweet. Runs like a chump, er champ.

So now 2 of my 4 leaks are taken care of. No more gas leak, and I think my oil leak has been fixed with the new braided oil feed line I installed. Coolant leak will be easily fixed with a new heater core and proper hosing (previous owner's bypass is dripping a slight amount of coolant). The exhaust leak will be fixed with a new header/manifold and exhaust. Crossing my fingers that the car will stay sudo-reliable until I can afford a daily beater.

That is all...so I'm in a pretty decent mood, for now at least.

Wish I could have helped put her back together and finish up the gauge pod install. Work blows. Oh yeah, did you do all of that work in the rain?

Sort of. Somehow I managed to push all 3000 lbs of beast up the driveway and sorta into the garage. The steering wheel wouldn't budge, so I basically pushed it straight in and had about the front half of the motor in the garage.

Fun. The last time I tried that in the rain I lost traction and basically went for a ride sliding down the driveway behind the old CRX.

It is a piggy back PCM giving one total control over fuel, timing, boost control, etc. Pretty much like a Haltech only more expensive and harder to use. I had the Pectel T2...more info can be found here if you are curious: www.pectelusa.com
