Default Engine Bay Nosie?

On my way home from class last night I noticed a tap/winey nosie coming from my engine bay. This nosie accurs when the car is between 2500-5000rpm when gas is being given, no other time. Not at idle or on down shift. Only when the throttle is press down between these rpm's and it happens in every gear. I think it maybe a blown gasket not sure? My car is on 01GT, I only have bolts on for aftermaket and have not had any new parts in about 3 months. What could this nosie be, I have appointment with ford on wednesday, but I would like to know your opinions. Thanks.

What kind of gas do you put it it? You could of gotten a bad tank of gas. Plus this cold weather leans your fuel out as well. So the combo of bad gas and the cold weather meant you could of heard some detonation a little bit.

I put 93 in it every since it had 2,000 miles on it it has 31,000miles on it now, detention would be a continous nosie would it? I mean this has been doing this since last night and continuing this morning.

Can my motor still be funtional with a blown piston or rod? The car still accerlates when you punch, I mean through no bog or lag.

+1 .. this is probably the culprit.

I can't imagine it being anything serious considering your low mileage.
