How to tell what rear end you have?

Default How to tell what rear end you have?
Ok I thought I had a 8.8 rear end in my truck but I wanna make sure before I buy stuff for it. What is the easiest way to tell if it's an 8.8?

in rangers, only the 4.0 got the 8.8. if you dont have a 4.0, you got a 7.5.
