Gasl mileage for 5.0 AOD
Looking to buy my wife a Fox mustang to get out from payments but gas mileage is a concern since she drives 40 miles a day. I was thinking a 2.3 would do her nicely, but the gas mileage isn't really that great with them. I bet I could get just about as good gas mileage with a 5.0. The car must be an auto, and she does sit in stop/go traffic alot. Any idea what kind of mileage we can expect?

It does get gas mileage, which is what he was asking ... some people would rather take the hit on the gas mileage rather than driving something else, such as what you got.

the gf's stang is a 2.3 and runs ok, she's lucky to get anywhere near around 23-25mpg highway, would be much better off buyin an escort hehe.

i was wondering this too. i have been looking into getting a foxbody 5.0. right now i drive a 3.2 liter isuzu rodeo. i drive from florida to pennsylvania about 4 times a year. would it get as good of gas milage as my v6 rodeo?
