fuel cells

Its not really necessary these days (unless required by rules, which is pretty fast for NHRA). Worst case scenario, if you're carbed, or huge HP EFI, sump it.
Its really personal opinion, I like the functionality and looks of the stock setup, but then again, it is cool to have to pop the hatch to gas up

Is it a track only car? I agree with just putting a sump in the stock tank as you will still have all of the interior room.
What reason is he giving for doing this? How much power are you honestly planning on making?

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.

Well the advantage of a fuel cell is the weight displacement in the car. Also I think its alot cleaner from the start not having to fight rust in the fuel system.Besides those things there is nothing else That I can think of .But as for bad ,the only danger is someone rearending you and busting the fuel cell all over the front of the car.SO get ready to buy a splash sheild somewhere in the car so the fuel does not go on you!
can the gauge in the dash still be used or will I have to wire up one, or is there one on the cell? It sounds like a pain in the ass to always be looking in the cell to see how much fuel I have. About the splash shield, he was talking about lining the hatch area with sheet metal.

I have one and put it in because it moves the weight on top of the rear end instead of hanging below which has to help weight transfer to some point.

plus it's directly above the rear axle.
