Default gt vs. lightning

my friend has an 01 lightning and he wants to run me what kind of hp did the 01 lightnings have cause i am pushin 320 with a 4.10 rear end and i thing i can take him what do you guys think?????

What mods do you have to get you to 320 already on an '04 GT? I have a Mach 1 and only put about 290 down.

Hopefully you didn't add up the claimed gains on the boxes of your mods. I'd also like to know what you have done...

maybe he doesn't mean 320 at the wheels. Or it was a typo of 220

He just posted this a couple of days ago. 320hp is not likely at the wheels on a 4.6 sohc n/a, at the crank MAYBE, but not very likely either. Regardless, If you had sticky tires with those 410's and you are a very experienced driver you might have a shot but its not very likely. My money is on the Lightning. Significantly more displacement and boost far outweighs your weight advantage with your setup.

260hp and 3400lbs vs 380hp and 4500lbs. I say this race would be door to door, but if that lightning has any kind of work done to it (ie. Chip, pulley, intake, exhaust) he's going to walk you.

Ohh, probably 240@ the wheels... still, with traction, I think it would give a stock lightning a run.

Amateurs don't use nitrous oxide, I've seen him drive, he has a heavy foot!
