yeah the power steering is a bitch, I have to deal with that alot, and yeah uh watch the disty on that, they go bad real easily

check basics, like ryde said, brakes are notorious on those vehicles.


anyhooter, Eibach makes a spring set for your vehicle, and greddy makes an exhaust. there are a number of parts out for the 24v, just take a look around, and don't be afraid to call a speedshop and ask them to call thier vendors. Replace bad parts with good new ones

 

Ya good advice. Best thing I can tell you is to have the car looked over by a professional. Get EVERYTHING fixed ASAP that is wrong with it, and be sure to do so prior to modding it at all. If you wait, more things tend to go bad and just add up and add up. Those cars can go 14s with bolt-on though, so they are pretty quick for what they are.

 

I am selling my 93 probe gt right now. It was a great car until right when decided to sell it,of course. The brakes and handling were great. All I ever did to my brakes was new pads and shave the rotors and that was only 100 bucks at just brakes. They tried to tell me I needed all these big repairs but they were full of crap. I drove it for 3 more years and it always stopped great The only bad part of these cars is the door panels, they are really cheap. When I took off my door panels to change my speakers it broke in half.

I am selling the mods off my car if you are looking for some more performance.

 

LOL, Why Not, you have PS problems? Mine leaks, but my coworker has a '89 GT and somehow there is OIL in her PS fluid reservoir. BLACK OIL. I could hardly turn the car in the parking lot. I had to back up to get the car into a space I should have been able to just turn the wheel to get in. Like there was no power steering at all.

I heard the '93's were the worst, because they were the first one, had to work out all the gremlins. Newer ones shouldn't have as many problems. Though I've heard Ford didn't do as good a job quality-wise as Mazda did on the MX-6. Of course, I'd say that's true of the 1st gens as well.

but it shoulda at least tryed to steer, maybe the pump was burnt up

cuz damn and discount sells PS stop leak for $2.98 so try it, it worked for me
