TSB for 2002 SVT Focus
For the couple of SVT focii owners that lurk around...
"Some 2002 SVT Focus vehicles may exhibit a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on with a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0133 (02 Sensor Slow response). To service, reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration level using WDS release B28.0.7 or higher."
Means there's a PCM update for you guys basically, so when you take your car in for an oil change etc, have it done

Yeah that one has been out for quite a while. Many of the SVTs exhibit a stumbling and idling problem...and many run like poop in hot, humid weather. The reprogramming fixes that as well.

Yeah, I like the overall package. The motor is decent, seems a little bottled up, but I actually like the tranny setup. The car is a little high strung, guess I like that dunno. I wouldn't pay 18k new for one, but there are a ton used w/ low miles going for 12-13k. I want that damn Blue....
I wouldn't be racing it either way, maybe do a couple little things to it and just enjoy the drive. Maybe try my hand at Autox....

Yeah it is definately a good package for an auto-xer. Comes standard with a larger rear sway bar, specially valved shocks/struts, better springs, and of course the larger brakes. Basically all of the suspension mods that would get you thrown out of a "stock" class if you put them on a regular ZX3.
The only disadvantage is the gearing on the transmission...its a bit sluggish off the line, but the car can definately still hold its own. Throw on some Azenis and you'd be set.

How could it have been out a while when I just got the damn broadcast message yesterday?
They release those messages when they get the information resolved. The PCM update program was just released about a month ago for it.
