Exclamation Brandon Ford, Mod friendly or foes?

Hey everyone. I was curious as to if Brandon Ford was mod friendly, namely steeda tri-ax shifter and K&N air filter (air silencer removed also). I have to go in for warranty work on Tuesday and need to know if I have to revert back to stock shifter in order to avoid complications. If someone could let me know A.S.A.P. that would be awesome. Thanks.

As of late all dealerships have become non-modfriendly

Don't worry about the air filter.

If you're having tranny work done, swap the shifter back.
If you're having anything drivetrain related, (that doesn't require them taking off the shifter boot, put the stock handle back on. The big chunck o rubber in the handle will make even a quality aftermarket shifter feel nearly as crappy as the stock shifter.

(Personally, I don't think the stock shifter is all that bad with a different handle as long as long as you don't beat on it too hard. If you're gonna beat on it, then the stops in aftermarket shifters are a must. But, if you're just looking for feel, it's a nice compromise that's not gonna hurt your warranty.)

I'd definately take off the shifter if it's remotely related to the drivetrain. They will do anything to avoid paying up on warranties. Swapping shifters isn't very hard so I'd definately do that if I was you.

I wouldn't say they blow. Why should they be forking out money because people are out making the vehicle do more than it is designed to do. I mean if it was to have this or that on it the manufacturer would put it on there. I personally worked for Ford and had to pay for damage to my truck caused by my oversized tires. It's all part of putting non facatory parts on there.

Dont buy a new car with a warrenty if your going to mod it

New cars arent suppose to last as it is lol and you wanna make them worse the dealer deff doesnt wanna loose money on the warrenty part.

I am with graves on this you do shit to the car own up to it! Its like saying drrrr i put a 200 shot on a new cobra it ran fine but makes noise now make sure you fix it oh yea dont forget to fix my purge while your at it.Any way to stress the motor drivetrain or nething on the car should not be warrenty'd in my book.Atleast ford isnt as bad as chevy yet example ("Z06" If the cars black box records that in anyway you were racing the car your warrenty will be void)lol talk about some 405hp peice of shit

Pull up to a light guy is like wanna race nah I dont wanna void my warrenty lmao what a ricer excuse but sad part its true

I agree with some of what each of you have said. But come on, in all reality it is only a shifter right? I'll end up replacing my shifter to the stock handle, just for looks. Brandon is going to fix the stalling bug, which I assume they really don't have to mess with the shifter. Also they are fixing my gas pedal which ripped through the rod on the lever, and a few other misc. items. Does anyone see any reason why they would cause a ruckous via my original post now? Thanks everyone.

J-Rod.

The shifter would be unrelated to any stalling problems. So I think your pretty safe if you were to just put on the stock handle.
