Haven't decided on an upper yet. I have a Cobra left over from the Dirtmobile but that will require a spacer and a riser hood to clear the tall valve covers. Don't really want to do that so I may sell the Cobra and pick up a bread box upper so I can keep the stock hood.

Tony, what headers are those? Kit or custom?

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.

What's a CHP Spyder? I'm kinda new to this aspect of things and haven't tripped across some of this stuff. I just don't want to grind down the baffles in the stock valve covers again and put up with all the oil puking like in the dirtmobile. I don't have anything against the riser hood, it's just that I'd like to keep the stock (well faded sleeper) look.

Steve, the headers and piping are a PTK kit. I think it must have been one of the earlier ones because there appears to be a few differences in some of the parts in the pics they are posting now. Wild guess would be they are reworked BBK shorties.

Ahh, I thought they looked somewhat familiar.

The CHP Spyder is a Vic Jr. carb intake converted to fuel injection. They go for around $700 with 90 deg inlet and fuel rails.

DrDirt....on all the SSP cars ive seen, including mine, there were two "buck tags". the first one shows the options and a partial vin number and the second says as follows...D.S.O 24-0069
FLORIDA
paint roof & deck lid area
special cream wt-1677
remainder black icc
the dso shows this paticular ss mustang was a florida car and the number 69 is the 69th ss mustang of the production year. was this any help?

Yeah, I'll check again but there was only one buck tag that I noticed. Like I said, I think it's just a regular ol' coupe that got pressed into service. No biggie if there's no documentation 'cause it's about to go to the dark side of the law anyway.

Speaking of The Law....Steve thanks for the definition. I saw something like that lying on the floor over at fordspeed the other day. I can't go paying that kind of money for an intake though. That would make it the most expensive piece on my car.
