Default 1987 mustang

Hey guys i am about to buy a 87 mustang lx hatchback it has the 5.0 ho motor in it it is automatic,i just would like to know how much powere these beast make stock and what is their to make this car put out a few more horses thanks for any help

well 87 is a year of the forged trw pistons sooo up grade exhaust underdrive pulleys , some fuel stuff , cai and a 100 shot and smile at your low 13's slip ohh btw nittos or drag radials are a good mod for street or track and gears with the autos wake them up a bit also . so what do you plan on doing with the car?

btw if you wanted a t5 I have a friend with one for sale.

86-92 had forged pistons except the 86 were flat top.

Get a shifter Kit! Autos are slower from the factory.

Thanks guys,well i want to upgrade the car thats for sure i am doing so,I looked atthe summit magazine last night and they have 2 supercharge kits for the car,you guys recomend i buy bolt on from them? or do you have a particuler place you guys trust most?the auto tranny ya recomend i change it and do they have a bad reputation on messing up?or how reliable is the auto tranny for the mustang?
