Default F-150 trouble starting

When I start my truck, it starts just fine but it does not rev up like normal and then it shuts down. If I rev it up right away it will stay going but only if I rev it, when I stop it shuts off. I was wondering what this might be in the engine that is not working right. My engine is the Triton V-8 5.4 liter engine. Thanks for any responses

lol, so they wouldn't tell you waht the problem was really, but they would fix it for 600$ eh? Really does sound like the battery or alternator. If it were the TPS out of range it would throw a code. Fuel Pump also has a relay in with it. What year is it?
