Ford Lightning Vs. Hemi Ram
Whats the better bet overall: 2003 Ford SVT Lightning, or a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi? I'm really having a tough time deciging. I love dodges, I have a Durango now, and the Rams are really nice. But, the lightnings are obviously amazingly fast for a pick-up. The Ram is bigger and has more seating which is nice, but it makes it a hell of a lot slower than the lightning. Let me know what you think?

My personal preference of course leans towards the Lightning. Overall interior quality and styling is much better than the Dodge. Plus there is so much you can do with the Lightning for not alot of dinero to make it even quicker.
Have you also looked into the new Chevy SS? I have seen a couple of those around town. Hate to say it, but they actually look pretty decent. What are the specs on those things?

Chevy way out of priced, the new Dodge is a very nice truck( more towards towing and working) The lightning is just by far the fastest coolest truck on the road.

The only true performance truck out there is a Lightning (not a biased opinion, run the numbers). The Chevy is a cosmetically dolled up lowered 1/2 ton. The Hemi is so far overrated its funny, the lightning just flies. If speed is what you're after, the Lightning is the only truck for you.

yep, i agree with everyone else. all i've heard about the hemi is towing. its what a 15 second truck in the 1/4? thats okay for its size.. but when i lightning is right there running 13s. its no competition for speed

15 sec for the hemi at best, in a road test they got 14.99 out of the new ss, but don't the 05 lightnings have like 500hp 500lb/ft with a t56???
