Lay off the kid, he had good intensions. Well my best advice would be to go the 5.0 route .. would cost you alot less money than swapping in a new motor and prob. tranny, dyno tuning, typical problems after swap, and everything else. Or just spend 3k on a 5.0 stang and run a 14.5 or so bone stock.

 

Yes, so far he seems decent enough, for a newbie at least.

 

While doing the same thing with a swapped CRX? Apples and oranges...it's all fruit. Which tree do you want to pick from? I've been both routes (Mustang and Honda) and even though I have had a Mustang with an ungodly amount of power (for me at any rate), I really enjoy my little Honda more. Everyone has fast Mustangs and riced out Hondas...it is a challenge to build each to be unique in a crowd of bellybuttons.

Swapped crx though, you would have to hire someone to put the motor in as this kid doesn't really seem like he really would know what he's doing, so he might spend ALOT of money on the swap, especially if it isn't done right the first time. Buy the mustang for 3k and not worry about anything is more my preference, but I am also a little biased toward a fox body over a crx. Plus, if your that into swaps, you could buy a 4 cylinder fox shell for like 800 bucks and buy a used 5.0 for about 250 ... domestics can handle swaps, too.

 

3k fora stang.... "not meaning to sound rude" come on, the lx pull it for like 2 to 4 for the shell, then go to coffers and start pulling shiot i will need... Then theres that whole my friend runs with 2 mustangs.... 670na and 250 shot on top of that.... still under 3k.... but then again i could go back to high school days whe i had a 74 super beetle pulling high 11's... the good ol' bug out's.... lol.... besides isnt a nawz a last resort not like a domino's pizza driver rolling in toyota tercels wiffa warm air intake a fart pipe and a zex kit thinking he's the man.... Those who go to sunshine should know or seen this car.....

I know where a sn95 5.0 is for sale for only $3500.

 

sorry I have a bad habbit of that..... The post was to be about the route which is better an Acura LS Turbo or a Acura LS Vtec Turbo... Apperntly I put it in the ford section, for ppl who know small blocks generly know a bit more... Then I came by and said I'm sorta stuck inna crossfire the styling of ricers and handling vs the brute power of Mustangs.... Lets admit it sideways is more fun thru turn... As I have done in other car and mostly in my friends old 93 GT pushing 300 hp.... But some one mentioned a 5.0 for 3k, in which I think the actaul cost should be around 1500.00 give or take..... considering the options and parts I have available to myself.. The again having ADD tend to lead to some pretty screwed up posting E.G. "this post" sorry for the confusion.....

 

np. 1500 bucks for a 5.0 would get ya a real junker though.
