Track Event Protocal / General Rules
Again I know not a War Story but this seems to be the hot forum for the people coming to the Track. I will remove it Sunday.
Here are just a few things to remember when you come to this Saturday's Track Event:
1. IF THE WEATHER IS QUESTIONABLE CALL THE TRACK BEFORE YOU LEAVE (941) 748-1320 OR CHECK THE DRAG RACING FORUM ! DON"T ASSUME ANYTHING. If there is a rain out it will be posted in the Drag Forum. Right now the weather looks good but it is Florida you know.....
Make sure to drive carefully down SR64 to the Track. It is not uncommon for speed traps to be set up on this road especially when something is going on at the Track.
2. If you are racing and have pre-paid you will just need to give your name at the gate. If you have additional spectators with you they will pay at that time. ($5.00).
3. If you are racing you will be given a Tech card at the gate. Fill this out and turn them in at the front of the staging lanes when they call for them over the PA system.
4. Cars that are not racing will need to park along the fence closest to the track or in the center section of the parking area. Do not park along the staging lanes this area is reserved for racers if they want to park there.
5. NO UNDERAGE DRINKING ! I would hate to think what would happen to you should you blow the chance of future events because of your stupidity !
6. The snack bar will be fully operational.
7. If you have never been to the Track before please watch a run or two before racing to get a feel for it. If you have real specific questions post up a thread and someone will answer it.
8. If it should rain out, we have several dates already available that we can use within the next month or so and everything will carry over to that date. If you can not make that date for some reason PM me, that is if I have not had a nervous breakdown.
9. If you have not pre-paid yet you will have to do so at the gate.
Most of all enjoy and have a good time but use some common sense.
Feel free to add your .02 to this thread if you feel it will help.

Newbies ask questions. Nobody will give you a hard time about you not knowing what to do and asking about it before hand. But everybody will hammer you if you breach track etiquete durring the event.

Just read/hearing about this. I don't plan to run my car at the track, but I would like to spectate. Where is this track located, what is the name of the track?

If you don't know what pre-stage and stage lights are and how to use them SAY IT NOW. Or you will piss off everyone and look REAL stupid.
Save yourself the embarrasment. If you have never been to a track then now is the time not to look like a "rookie"

hey i got a question in this flame free zone, if im running street tires, should i drive around the water box then roll back into it, or not even bother with the water because they are street tires and i might end up dripping water through the staging area?
